From Ataşehir to Bosphorus Ink: End of the Day, Two Branches, One Choice

Ataşehir tattoo studio clients: Garanti BBVA, İş Bankası, Akbank, Halkbank — the backbone of Istanbul's Anatolian finance district sits in Ataşehir. Our studios are a direct D-100 drive to Pendik or a bridge crossing to Polat Tower.

That distance makes Ataşehir Pendik's natural feeder. Just as Bakırköy's airport line turns Bakırköy into Polat Tower's natural feeder, the D-100 line turns Ataşehir into Pendik's — quiet, fast, aligned with the end-of-day traffic window.

Compared to Levent: lunch breaks work there because Polat Tower is seven or eight minutes away. From Ataşehir, lunch breaks don't work — the drive, the tattoo, the drive back won't fit a lunch hour. But end-of-day works; 18:30 out of the plaza, 19:00 in the studio, 20:30 home. Half-day leave or weekend slots open a third window.

D-100 to Pendik: A Twenty-Minute Direct Line

From the Ataşehir plaza area (Barbaros, Yenişehir) down the D-100 to the Pendik studio works like this: take the D-100 rather than the TEM, 18-22 minutes to the Kartal junction, 3-4 minutes from there to Pendik. Total: 20-25 minutes.

This route is genuinely less traffic-bound. Even in the 08:00-09:30 morning and 17:30-19:30 evening windows, it doesn't stretch past 30-35 minutes. You skip the long stationary jams characteristic of bridge traffic.

For the end-of-day exit — 18:30 out of the plaza, 19:00 in the Pendik studio, a 90-minute session for a small piece, and you're back in Ataşehir by 20:30. That cycle slots easily into a weekday.

We sit under the Lens İstanbul AVM, which adds practical benefit: food, coffee, light shopping inside the mall before or after the session. For couples coming together, the mall waiting area is convenient.

Bosphorus / FSM Bridge to Polat Tower

From Ataşehir to Polat Tower, two bridge options. The Bosphorus Bridge is the shorter route — D-100 to the Ortaköy exit, down to Beşiktaş, Fulya in 25-30. The FSM Bridge via Ümraniye-Hisarüstü runs 30-35 depending on traffic.

The advantage: the VIP private room is at Polat Tower. For a premium-service preference, quiet space, a companion present, Polat Tower is the sensible choice. Fulya and Beşiktaş also give you food and coffee routes around the session.

The trade-off: end-of-day bridge traffic. The 07:30-09:30 outbound (Asian to European) and 17:30-19:30 return windows hit the Anatolian-side finance crowd squarely. A 25-minute drive can stretch to 45-55 in those windows.

For Polat Tower from Ataşehir, our recommendation is to take half a day and come late morning (10:30-11:00), or come on a weekend morning. An end-of-day Polat Tower visit from Ataşehir is tiring.

Which Branch for Which Client?

For a post-plaza small or medium piece: Pendik. D-100 traffic is reasonable, the whole cycle fits in an evening.

For a long detailed session (4-6 hours): Pendik. Without bridge stress on top of a long sitting, concentration and comfort hold up better.

If you want the VIP private room: Polat Tower. The senior-executive profile, a design process that benefits from a companion, or a quiet-space preference.

If you're planning to come with a partner: Polat Tower's twin-VIP setup is an option. Pendik handles couples' sessions too, just without the VIP room.

For a first tattoo: Pendik. For a simple start without a heavy decision in the mix, stress runs low.

The Ataşehir Client Profile

The factors shaping the Ataşehir profile are clear. Mid-to-senior management in banking, financial services, law firms, consultancies — clear dress code, demanding hours, narrow free-time windows in the working week.

In this profile, the tattoo preference concentrates on discreet placements. The wrist-to-inner-forearm line under the cuff, the upper chest under the collar, back of the shoulder, ribs, back. Placements that show in summer at the pool or sea but stay invisible in the plaza are a common preference.

Fine line and minimalist designs dominate. With the female professional clientele, inner forearm, wrist, ankle and between the shoulder blades lead the placement order. Design-wise: initials, dates, short words and phrases, meaningful coordinates, minimalist symbols (heart, infinity, wave, small flower).

In the male finance profile, black and grey and classical compositions are common. Clock-face motifs, meaningful dates, family references (parents' names, children's birthdates), classical geometric patterns. Placement typically upper chest, back of the shoulder, along the shoulder blades.

Realism portraits are the standout category in the mid-life profile. A parent's portrait, a first child's portrait, a loved one lost. The size and detail of these designs ask for areas the clothing will cover (back, chest) — practical benefit and discretion both.

The profile living around Watergarden, Brandium, NowAda, Folkart Towers brings another factor: nearby residences with shared pools, plaza-internal gyms, common areas — that shapes post-tattoo plans.

The Design Process, Practically

In the Ataşehir profile, the design process is usually researched, planned, spread over time. The consultation starts on WhatsApp: a Pinterest board, sketches, references shared beforehand.

The first in-person meeting at the studio takes 30-45 minutes. With the design settled, the tattoo session lands on a separate day. We leave one to two weeks between the two visits for further thought — particularly worthwhile for larger work.

When discussing placement, we use a temporary transfer on the body — how the design sits, where the shirt starts, how it looks when seated. In finance, the placement decision is as important as the design.

If you're leaning toward the VIP room at Polat Tower, the VIP service guide lays out the details: companion welcome, closed-door space, quiet environment.

The Practicalities

We take walk-ins, but to avoid a wasted 20-30-minute drive from Ataşehir, send a quick WhatsApp first:

For Pendik: +90 552 184 07 34

For Polat Tower: +90 545 131 07 34

If you're not sure which branch fits your profile, message us — we can weigh the day's flow, the design type and the traffic window together.

Same-day tattoos work for small and medium pieces. Detailed work needs planning a week or two ahead.

Cash in TRY, USD, EUR, GBP; cards from Visa, Mastercard, Amex. Bank transfer with the IBAN.

Parking is covered at both branches. At Pendik, the Lens İstanbul AVM car park (validate at the mall checkouts for the free hours); at Polat Tower, the building's own car park.

Business Travel and the Flight Window

The Ataşehir profile travels a lot. Pre-flight tattoo timing:

After a small piece (5-7cm), you can fly in two hours. Medium (10-15cm), four to six hours. After a realism portrait or larger work, same-day flying is rough — managing the bandage and plasma seepage on a plane isn't pleasant.

With a packed travel calendar, the ideal: tattoo two days before flying. The first 24 hours — bandage off, first wash done — happen before you're airborne. From the second day onwards, the care routine continues comfortably while travelling.

Hotel bathrooms work for the aftercare. Pack care products under 100ml for cabin rules; small bottles of soap or wash are practical.

On long-haul flights — European or Middle East routes for example — seat pressure on the tattooed area matters. After a back or rib piece, the first three days on a long flight are tiring; plan ahead of the travel calendar when you can.

Aftercare for the Plaza Routine

Our thirty-day aftercare guide covers everything. Notes for plaza life:

Climate-controlled air — Ataşehir plazas run high air-conditioning, dry air. The tattoo needs moisture, so apply moisturiser 3-4 times daily through the first week. Keep the care cream in your office bag.

Shirt friction — for the first week, the cuff line shouldn't grind on a fresh tattoo. After a wrist tattoo, swap a tight-cuffed suit for a looser shirt for three days; cuff friction slows healing.

The plaza gym — for returning to exercise, wait at least a week. Heavy sweat, friction on the tattoo, shared equipment hygiene — none of that's ideal in the first week. From week two, moderate intensity; from week three, full.

Business dinners and alcohol — no alcohol for the first 48 hours after a tattoo, for clotting and healing. Push back the business dinner, or switch to alcohol-free.

The residence pool — no pool or sea for at least 2-3 weeks after a tattoo. In summer that feels long, but the infection risk makes it non-negotiable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which branch is more practical from Ataşehir?

For most of the Ataşehir profile, our Pendik studio is the more practical pick — 20-25 minutes straight along the D-100, no bridge in the mix. Polat Tower runs 25-30 but depends on Bosphorus or FSM bridge traffic; in the evening rush that can stretch to 40-50.

Can I do it on a lunch break?

Not really workable for the Ataşehir profile. Lunch breaks work for Levent — different proximity. From Ataşehir, getting out of the plaza, getting tattooed and getting back doesn't fit a lunch hour. End-of-day, a half-day off, or a weekend slot are the realistic windows.

What hours work for an end-of-day appointment?

Plaza exit around 18:00-18:30. In the studio about 19:00. After a small piece, 20:30-21:00 leaves you with a comfortable drive home. The studio closes at 20:00, but with a confirmed booking we run a bit later.

Any placement advice for what stays under the shirt?

For finance-sector dress codes, the safest placements stay under the collar line: upper chest, inner forearm, back of the shoulder, ribs, back. Wrist and outer forearm sit close to or past the cuff line — that's a personal call depending on your company's culture.

Does it fit around business travel?

Same-day flying after a small piece is fine — two hours afterwards. After a medium piece, four to six. With a busy travel calendar, we'd suggest getting tattooed two days before flying so the bandage comes off and the first wash is done before you're in the airport.

Weekend slots?

Yes. Saturday afternoon is the busiest window at both branches; Sunday is calmer. For the Ataşehir profile, Saturday 11:00-13:00 is usually the smoothest. Message us on WhatsApp to lock it in.

My partner wants one too — can we do it on the same day?

Yes. Couples' bookings are common from the Ataşehir profile. Different styles back to back on the same day works fine. With the VIP private room at Polat Tower you can also be in the room together with a companion-style setup.

I'm planning a detailed realism portrait — how many sessions?

Depends on size. A 12-15cm portrait runs 1-2 sessions, 5-6 hours total. A 20+cm portrait or a sleeve combination, 3-4 sessions. After the consultation, with size, detail and shading nailed down, you'll have a session plan.

Which branch has the VIP private room?

Polat Tower. Quiet space, companion welcome, closed door. The senior-executive profile, or anyone wanting a more discreet service, tends to pick it. From Ataşehir to Polat Tower, late morning or early afternoon is easier on the bridge than the evening.

Are consultations charged?

Free, by appointment. Sharing references, sketches and placement ideas on WhatsApp in advance makes the consultation more productive.

Payment methods?

Cash in TRY, USD, EUR, GBP. Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express. Bank transfer with the IBAN.

Hygiene standards?

Single-use needles, autoclave-sterilised equipment, certified brand inks. Standards match EU clinical hygiene. Ask everything in the consultation.
